Miquel Muñoz García-Ramos is a Research Engineer at N3Cat in Barcelona, where he is undertaking his Bachelor's Final Thesis on developing machine learning models using Graph Neural Networks (GNN) for stock market prediction. Previously, he interned as a Software Engineer at MongoDB in Barcelona, where he worked on improving the functionality of Storage Execution commands for unsharded collections.
Currently, Miquel is pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Engineering at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona, with a specialization in Computer Science, and a Bachelor of Economics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, focusing on Advanced Quantitative Methods. He participated in the Erasmus+ programme at The University of Edinburgh, taking Master's level courses and also, was awarded the Economics and Business Award 2020 by Pompeu Fabra University for his project on algorithmic trading in the foreign exchange market.
In addition to his engineering and economic studies, Miquel has a background in classical music. He completed a Professional Degree in Classical Music at Conservatori del Liceu and IEA Oriol Martorell with a perfect GPA in piano. His musical abilities have been recognized with the First Prize at the 6th International Russian Classical Piano Competition, and he was a finalist for the Ferrer-Salat Excellence Scholarship in 2020.
