Ethungshan Shitiri, known as "Shan" among his colleagues, holds a doctoral degree in Information and Communication Engineering from KNU. As the leader of the Human Body Group at N3Cat, he specializes in Intrabody Nanonetworks and Protocols, developing innovative methods for the early detection and continuous monitoring of chronic diseases.

Dr. Shitiri is committed to mentorship, consistently disseminates his research through influential publications, fosters collaborations with renowned researchers, and secures competitive research grants. He was honored with the prestigious Marie Curie Post-Doctoral Fellowship by the European Commission to lead the BeNiFIt project at UPC. In partnership with NTNU, Norway, and IBEC, Spain, this project aims to utilize intrabody nanonetworks by deploying nanomachines into the bloodstream for precise and rapid disease biomarker detection.

Beyond his academic endeavors, Dr. Shitiri is actively involved in his local church community and has recently taken up Padel and Tennis, enriching his personal and professional life.
